We made it to Spring, folks.
Fun story my wife and I didn't book little man for any spring break camps.
I tore my achilles tendon (do not recommend) so our trip got cancelled.
You can imagine I really dug through the local kid-friendly stuff this week. 😄

Fun little fact about me, I ran a 10,000+ subscriber music hunting newsletter for like ten years back when you had to search music blogs for new tunes. And we walked uphill both ways to school, junior! 😄 But really, I love hunting new music from emerging artists.

💣 Watch Out For... Bombs?
Not be too hyperbolic, but filing this under "very good to know" if you live around or play on Green Mountain. Our beloved desert mountain was formerly home to Camp George West Artillery Range, and it seems unexploded munitions and explosives of concern may be lurking on the north and east side of William F Hayden Park. A cleanup plan is in motion, but it goes without saying that everyone should be careful.

🏍️ Motocross Qualifiers
Over on the Thunder Valley Motocross Park this weekend we have the 2025 South Central Area Qualifier races that I believe funnel into the nationals later this summer - I could be wrong because I know little to nothing about the sport. That said, a fun spectator day if you wanna go see some bikes on dirt.
🧑🏼🌾 Echter's Ready Set Grow Weekend
If you're pumped to get your hands into the dirt again this Spring, Echter's is hosting 5 hour-long free workshops this weekend covering xeriscape, perenials, succulents (my fave), composting and irrigation. Learn from the experts, and if you're like me you'll still find a way to screw it all up (or the rabbits will).

12pm (all day) / CODA Brewing (Golden) - 🎿 Retro Onesie Sale, stock up for gaper day, have a beer and try on some old school ski onesies
9pm / What If Theater (Edgewater) - 🎬 Open Screen Night dedicated to your weirdest $hit - bring a flash drive with an original film you would like to share! First come, first screened. 18+ONLY. Grab tickets here. Wild.
Sunday 3/23
9am / Bivouac Coffee (Evergreen) - 🏃🏼♂️ Norrøna's Mountain Fit Series, trail run event winding through the beautiful Elk Meadow, open to runners of all levels, test running clothes, win gear, and enjoy locally roasted coffee.
12 - 4pm / Colorado Tap House (Arvada) - 🩸 Blood drive, when you donate a pint (of blood), you get a pint (of beer!). A pint for a pint!
2pm / Buffalo Rose (Golden) - 🎸 Colorado Blues Society Members Choice Awards, also known as the Holley Awards, honoring favorite musicians, clubs, events and activities in the Colorado blues world
