Jeffco Crew #012 - Paint the Town, Young Artists & Baby Goats

Jeffco Crew #012 - Paint the Town, Young Artists & Baby Goats
I always add 5 degrees to every high temp.

First of all, the music sharing last week - despite my knuckle-headed need for a resend - was very popular. I'm going to add that as a bi-weekly feature, so send me your favorite new artists if you're a music nerd.

🏡 Looky Loo

Where I poke around our local real estate market to highlight fun finds - great deals, astronomical mansions or killer mountain cabins.

Okay hear me out on this one. This is the perfect friends or family compound target. It's listed for $2.2m which isn't chump change, but you get 240 acres of spectacular land and multiple living spaces.

It's off-grid, so you and your crew need to be a certain vibe, but what a starter package for a killer compound lifestyle in Colorado.

And in the decidedly huge mansion category we had Whisper Mountain Ranch hit the market this past weekend, boasting 108 acres of lush landscape, horse barns, sprawling fenced meadows for grazing, a greenhouse, private hiking trails, lush forests, and stunning rock formations... all for a cool $7m (rounding up, of course).

A few events worth noting.

🌿 Volunteer Across Lakewood's Nature Programs

Wanna get more involved in making this a wonderful place to live? Lakewood's looking for volunteers across lots of roles, like wildlife monitor, park patroller, volunteer naturalist, habitat restoration volunteer, and more. Lakewood Parks is also hiring for seasonal jobs. Got a teen? They can apply to the Councilor in Training program to transition from camper to staff member at summer camps this year.

🖼️ $2M Public Art Opportunity

Calling all you artists, the Colorado 150 Pedestrian Walkway is seeking up to 20 artists - apply before the April 1st deadline - to create public artworks celebrating Colorado’s rich cultural, civic, and industrial heritage. With a budget of up to $2 million, this is a major opportunity to contribute to a lasting public art installation in Denver!
