Jeffco Crew #014 - Kites, Cardboard Boats & Weird Homes
I knew when Spring was rolling in there would be lots more happening around town but I think I forgot how big Jeffco is. We have a lot to do around here!
I'm not complaining - it's very cool we have such a vibrant slate of activities going on around town.
And these events don't even count the endless beautiful outdoors we get to explore in our backyard.
We're so fortunate.

🏡 Looky Loo
Where I poke around our local real estate market to highlight fun finds - great deals, astronomical mansions or killer mountain cabins.
This one really jumped out at me - the interior of this Golden home is just spectacular. It's a $1.935m 5BD, 3.5BA home up in the hills, but holy cow is it tastefully put together.
And then, we've got this $1.9m 3BD, 4BA home out in Bailey, that kind of has it all when you're just looky-looing.
It starts off with a really clean, modern vibe (similar to above), and transitions into a very Asian-inspired feel that you don't see very often.
And then... it just starts to get weird. Highly recommend hitting all the photos.

A few events worth noting.
🪁 Arvada Kite Festival
In it's 20th year, the AKF is Sunday and features 100+ vendors, kite demonstrations, face painting, inflatables, Denver Museum of Nature and Science's Curiosity Cruiser, a Nerf Terf zone and a whooooole bunch of kites. This feels like a pretty killer family event - if the weather holds out.
🏃♂️ Time to Register, Runners
I tore my achilles tendon in January and couldn't have surgery so I'm on a long recovery path, but otherwise I'd be signing up for some races right now. It's a fool's errand to try and share all the races we have in the front range, but this is your reminder to look around and get them on your calendar. Maybe the Unicorn 5k in Denver or the SOAR 5k - both in about two weeks? The Evergreen Trail Race Series looks gorgeous. Greenland Trail Race in early May? Also around the same time, Denver Beer Co hosts a solo or team 50k run that connects all their breweries.
