Jeffco Crew #018 - Rain, Dragon Boats & Beer Olympics

Jeffco Crew #018 - Rain, Dragon Boats & Beer Olympics
The time of year when Green Mountain is actually green.

I hope ya'll are enjoying this wet weather.

I absolutely love rain. Especially the clean, crisp Colorado rain.

I know some folks are attuned to letting the rain get them down, but don't sell your happiness for so cheap!

Rain is as great as ice cream, sunshine and a warm breeze.

Promise.

In other news, I've had a few awesome breweries reach out offering to host us for a happy hour, so I will share more deets soon.

Let's get into it!

🏡 Looky Loo

Where I poke around our local real estate market to highlight fun finds - great deals, astronomical mansions or killer mountain cabins.

I went to two open houses last weekend.

Just for fun.

Anyway, today we travel to Littleton to peek into a $2.875m 6BD, 6BA spot that blends the property’s original 1899 pioneer cabin with new construction throughout, including a very fun lookin' pool.

Is that two birch trees on the pool deck?

The place really wraps itself in outdoor activity vibes, and it sits on 20 acres.

Trampolines are safe, according to the 90's.

And next, definitely looky loo this one - amazing mountain living energy going on here. This $1.075m 3BD, 3BA wooden retreat has incredible sunlight and lives on 8 acres near Mt. Falcon and Turkey Creek Canyon.

Outdoor living at its finest.

The property includes a natural cave, apparently. I mean come on.

Windows everywhere.

A few highlighted events for the upcoming week.

🎶 Second Saturdays in Olde Town Arvada

Starting this Saturday, May 10, Olde Town Arvada kicks off its Second Saturdays series - an evening street party with live music, dancing, local food and drinks, and plenty of family-friendly fun. The historic district comes alive from 5 to 10 p.m., with vendors lining the streets and community vibes in full swing. Come for the tunes, stay for the energy.

🛍️ Sloan’s Lake Spring BAZAAR

This weekend - May 10 & 11 - Sloan’s Lake turns into a pop-up party packed with local flavor. Shop 80+ makers, sip craft cocktails, snack your way through street food vendors, and vibe to live DJs. Free to attend, pet-friendly, and since the weather looks solid, could be a pretty great day to kick off your spring.

🦖 Free Day at the Nature & Science Museum

Next Monday, the Denver Museum of Nature & Science opens its doors for free - flagging this because the place is so popular with young kiddos. The museum is packed with hands-on exhibits, towering dinos, a Discovery Zone just for kids, and more. A perfect day out that won’t cost a thing.
