Jeffco Crew #022 - Art Crawls, Astronomy & Johnny Cash

Jeffco Crew #022 - Art Crawls, Astronomy & Johnny Cash
That Wednesday prediction is wrong, so we can trust this.

There's a lot of variety in the calendar this week, likely because the moon phases are shifting from "my kid goes to school" to "oh no my kid is not in school" which is something like Mercury Retrograde, from what I hear.

So Jeffco is alive with activities, which considering the rain is probably a relief for parents.

If you don't have kids, lots for you too! Tons of live music - literally everywhere.

Let's get into it.

A few highlighted events this week.

๐ŸŽ‰ Arvada SummerFest 2025

Arvada SummerFest returns to the Lutz/Stenger Sports Complex for a full day of fun. This free event runs from 11am to 7pm and features live music, local food trucks, a beer garden, kids zone, and tons of family-friendly activities. Itโ€™s the perfect way to kick off summer with community vibes and sunshine.

๐ŸŽ Westernaires White Division Shows

This weekend at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds Rodeo Arena, the Westernaires take the stage with two thrilling performances showcasing precision riding, pageantry, and high-speed drills. On Saturday, June 8 at 5:30pm, catch the Base Teams Show, and on Sunday, June 9 at 11:30am, the Specialty Teams take the reins. These talented young riders bring energy, tradition, and crowd-pleasing formations to the arena - a must-see local tradition for all ages.

๐Ÿก Looky Loo

That thing every other week where I poke around our local real estate market to highlight fun finds - great deals, astronomical mansions or killer mountain cabins.

Okay so this house is exquisite. A 4BD, 3.5BA Lakewood home built in 1968, the (presumed) restoration is just... smooth. $1.75m listing, now pending (ofc).

Having home envy.

I couldn't even pick a room to feature. The lines in every room are perfect. And this upper back yard hang thing going on. Come on.

The views are probably not bad.

Our next home is a 3.5BD, 2.5BA in Morrison coming in at $1.775m... and this one's kinda all about the interior too. It's got so much of its own energy going on.

I'm just gonna show you the fireplaces.

Cozy af.
You could camp in front of this thing.

Let's just move on. I love my home.

Right?
