🥳 Second Saturdays in Olde Town Arvada
Head to Olde Town this Saturday evening for one of the best block parties around. Second Saturdays run from 5 to 10pm and bring live music, street performers, local makers, and food and drink specials to the heart of Arvada. It’s a lively, walkable night out - family-friendly, pet-friendly, and full of good energy.
🎨 Artsweek Golden
Artsweek Golden is back next week on Monday - and it’s more than just an art show. This citywide celebration transforms Golden into a hub of creativity, with events, exhibits, and experiences popping up all week long. From mural walks and gallery receptions to live music, kids’ activities, and hands-on workshops, there’s something for everyone.
The week culminates in the Artsweek Golden Festival on Saturday and Sunday (June 21-22), where over 70 artists from around the country will line 12th Street in downtown Golden. Expect everything from paintings and sculpture to ceramics, jewelry, and textiles - plus food trucks, local brews, and a vibrant street festival vibe. Whether you’re an art lover, a curious kid, or just looking for a fun summer outing, this should be a ton of fun for everyone.
🏞️ Golden Day – June 16
It’s not a formal event, but it’s a meaningful date: June 16 marks Golden’s 166th anniversary. On this day in 1859, Golden City was established during the Colorado Gold Rush - eventually becoming the territorial capital and the hub it is today. While there’s no official celebration this year, it’s a great excuse to explore downtown, take in the historic charm, and raise a toast to the town that helped shape the Front Range.
