Hello neighbors!

I hope everyone is headed into the Halloween season with their pumpkins out front and their health intact.

Man, our family has had a rough season when it comes to sickness.

But we're all better now and our spooky decorations are out front, and we've even got our holiday lights up on the house (but haven't turned them on yet).

Last weekend was GABF, a big event if you're into beer. I'm into beer, however I didn't make the event. Just wanted to give a huge congrats to all the local award winners - I saw Cannonball Creek (Golden), Westbound & Down (Front Range) and River North (Rino) were given Brewery of the Year accolades, which is super fun.

Okay - let's get into it!

That thing every other week where I poke around our local real estate market to highlight fun finds - great deals, astronomical mansions or killer mountain cabins. 

Today's highlight is actually in Denver. I couldn't not share it. It's a condo in Cherry Creek listed at $21,000,000! What bizzaro world are we living in?!

Listen, I'm all for luxury and as you know, I'm usually on board with the super-expensive places I see around the front range and the city, but $21m is a lot of money and if you had it to spend I'm trying to picture how you decide to spend it on 6,800 square feet above Cherry Creek.

And I really like Cherry Creek!

And that's before we get to the opulence of this particular place, which I know some people really go for but feels quite outdated to me and I'd imagine anyone my age or younger.

Don't get me wrong, the place is cushy and impressive. It is. But dang.

📚 The Fall Whale of a Used Book Sale

The Jefferson County Library Foundation's massive book sale fills three exhibit halls at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds in Golden from October 17 - 20. Thousands of gently used books, CDs, DVDs, and vinyl records are priced strategically across four days: Friends-only preview Thursday evening (6 - 8pm), regular shopping Friday ($5 admission, or $10 for 8am early bird entry), half-price Saturday for Friends/teachers/Jeffco employees, and bag day Sunday (stuff a bag for $10, 11am - 3pm). Sunday also brings a pancake breakfast and CSU Extension's Fall Family Fun Day if you want to make a morning of it. Serious book hunters arrive early with rolling carts, but the Sunday bag day offers the best deals if you're not particular.
