🎶 Hops Drops Music & Beer Festival
The fourth annual Hops Drops takes over Evergreen Lake House on Saturday, October 25 from 2 - 6:30pm, combining live music with unlimited tastings from Colorado breweries, wineries, and distilleries. Formerly known as Evergreen Music Festival, the event features regional and national acts performing against a backdrop of fall colors and mountain views. Tickets come in three tiers: general admission, GA with beer tasting, and VIP. The setting at the lake house - just 20 miles west of Denver - makes it feel more intimate than your typical festival fairgrounds. What sets this apart is the mission: 100% of proceeds go toward building a permanent stage at Evergreen Lake through partnership with Evergreen Parks & Rec, creating a future home for local bands, school performances, and community events. It's a fundraiser that doesn't feel like a fundraiser, just a good afternoon of music and craft beverages with a purpose.
🍺 Olde Town Arvada Launches Designated Drinking Zone
Starting today with a ribbon cutting at 6pm, Olde Town Arvada becomes the latest Front Range community to allow open containers in a designated downtown area. The new DDZ covers the heart of the pedestrian-friendly district and runs daily from 9am - 11pm. Here's how it works: buy a drink from any participating bar, restaurant, or brewery, get a special Olde Town DDZ sticker and QR code on your cup, then stroll and sip within the clearly marked zone. You must finish or dispose of your drink before entering another business or leaving the area. The first 100 guests at the ribbon cutting get a free koozie and drink coupon. It's a smart move for a walkable downtown that's already built for strolling - now you can grab a beer at one spot and wander to the next without chugging or wasting your drink.
